"Works fine most of the time"
The app is reliable most days, which is all I’m asking for at this point. I’m a bit tired of dealing with apps and services that need constant attention, so I appreciate that this one mostly just does what it’s supposed to do.

"Direct deposit setup was okay after a little effort"
Setting up direct deposit took me a few tries, which wasn’t ideal since I usually expect this kind of thing to be straightforward. It did work in the end, though, so overall it was alright

"I had a hold pop up on..."
I had a hold pop up on my account and, i was stressed about it. I didn’t know what triggered it, and for a minute I was thinking if this turned into a long hassle, I might just be done and take my banking somewhere else.
I reached out to support, and they actually explained what they needed without making it confusing. I sent over the info, and the hold was removed way quicker than I thought it would be.
Account holds are never fun, and I really hope it doesn’t happen again, but Spruce handled this one well. They kept it simple, fixed it fast, and that’s why I’m still sticking around. 5 stars from me.

"Got to use my refund quicker"
I got my tax refund earlier than I thought, which helped a lot. The fees were alright, not too bad, and it was just nice being able to use the money sooner

I’ve used it a few times now and haven’t run into anything weird so far. It feels trustworthy enough to me, but if something did go wrong, I’d definitely expect a real apology and a quick fix

"Card took a bit to arrive, but it worked out"
I ordered my Spruce debit card and it ended up getting to me in about a week, which was fine, I guess I just kept checking the tracking because it wasn’t really giving me much to go on. For a minute I wasn’t sure if it was moving or just sitting somewhere, but then it showed up and everything was totally fine. Activation was quick and easy too, so no real complaints there. I’d probably give it 5 stars if the delivery updates were a little clearer, but overall it wasn’t a big deal.

"Card Declined, But They Fixed It Fast"
My card got declined twice, and I was absolutely convinced something had gone seriously wrong. I was annoyed at first, not gonna lie. But support checked it super quickly, explained exactly what happened, and after that it worked perfectly. it ended up being way less of a big deal than I thought

"The alerts are surprisingly helpful"
The notifications have been great so far. They show up when they’re supposed to, but they’re not constantly bugging me, which I really appreciate. I don’t have to keep opening the site just to see what’s going on, it kind of keeps me in the loop in the background. So yeah, overall I’m happy with it.

"Paycheck shows up when it should"
well... my paycheck has been landing right when I expect it, and a couple times it even showed up a little earlier than it did with my old bank.

I’m not really using a bunch of extra features or anything. I mainly just need my money to be there on payday without having to wonder about it, and Spruce has been reliable for that.

So far, no major complaints. It’s simple, but that’s all I was looking for

"Login is usually fine, but support felt a little dismissive"
I use sprucemoney.com mostly to check my account, and for the most part the login process is simple enough. When I forgot my password, the reset worked without much trouble, and the code showed up on my phone quickly.

The only reason I’m leaving 4 stars is that sometimes the page hangs for a bit after I enter the code, which is annoying when I’m trying to get in fast. I mentioned it once and kind of felt brushed off, like it wasn’t really worth looking into, so that left me a little frustrated even though the site mostly does what I need.

"Bank linking was a little bumpy, but it worked"
I used Spruce to connect my outside bank account, i was expecting it to be more annoying than it ended up being. The first attempt did freeze on me, which was frustrating, so I closed it out and tried again.
To be fair, the second try went through and it pulled up the right account. It took a few minutes to refresh, but nothing major. I’m giving it 4 stars because it did what it was supposed to do, even if I can’t say it was completely seamless

"ATM fees were honestly better than I thought"
I’ve used my Spruce card at a couple different ATMs now and the fees have been way more reasonable than what I was used to with my old bank, so I’m happy with it so far

"Balance was always right, so I don’t get the complaints"
My balance showed correctly every single time. I don’t know what other people were doing wrong, but for me it never once showed the wrong amount.

"Fees were easy enough to understand"
I ended up using sprucemoney.com mainly because I wanted to see the fees upfront before signing up. They had everything laid out clearly, and I didn’t feel like I had to click around forever to figure out what I’d actually be paying.
I’m giving it 4 stars because a few parts could probably be worded a little simpler, something about it felt slightly more complicated than it needed to be. But overall, it seemed honest enough, and I haven’t run into any weird surprise charges so far.

I asked for a refund and, i do wish it had come through a little faster. It took a few days, and support wasn’t exactly instant with their replies, but they did get back to me and the refund was sorted in the end. Not a terrible experience, just something I wish had been a bit smoother.

I’ve used a couple of savings apps before, and this one is definitely easier to stick with. It’s a bit basic, but it helps me put a little money aside without thinking too much about it

"I wasn’t totally sure what to expect, but..."
I wasn’t totally sure what to expect, but the cashback showed up quickly and I didn’t have to deal with any hassle. So far, everything’s been smooth. Personally, I’d say it’s worth using.
